Thesis: Isotopic Cycling in a Tropical Treeline Environment: North American Monsoon Dynamics at Nevado de Colima, Mexico

Biography:

My interests are a further exploration of paleoclimate, climate change and associated impacts on human populations and biologic communities. My research focuses on a reconstruction of the North American Monsoon (NAM) from treeline environments of the North American tropics. My work has involved the use isotopic tracers to quantify the ecohydrologic cycle at the site and the use isotopic variations in tree ring cellulose to reconstruct moisture dynamics at the century scale.

Research topics:
Climate Change
Ecosystem Ecology
Hydrology
Isotope Geochemistry
Paleohydrology
