Research Interests:
"--Fields of specialization : glaciology, snow sciences, climatology, air pollution, geochemistry. I'm currently working as a Ph.D. student with Dr. Ross Edwards on Wet deposition rates of black carbon: implications for climate change and biogeochemical cycles. Black carbon (BC) is known to be one of the most important chemicals responsible for atmospheric temperature changes due to its capacity to absorb light and warm up its nearest environment. Its sources could be both anthropogenic (fossil fuels burning, cooking) and natural (biomass burning). Before working with Dr. Ross Edwards (mars 2008), I worked for a couple of months with Dr. Paul Verburg (DEES) on CO2 extraction from greenhouse soil samples. Previously, I had two research experiences during my MCs degree in Earth, Universe and Environmental Sciences at Joseph Fourier University, Grenoble, France : -2007 : Evolution of physical properties of snow during isothermal and gradient metamorphisms -- (LGGE, Grenoble, France) with Dr. Florent Domine -2006 : Stratigraphic & tectonic study of a shallow sedimentary deposit - Southern Alps, France -- (LGCA, Grenoble, France) with Dr. Thierry Dumont. I had the pleasure to work a lot in the field during all my studies, and I still enjoy working as much as possible on the data I brought myself. "
